Vincent Martin Medina

PRODUCER, WRITER AND DIRECTOR

Vincent was born and raised on the mean streets of East Los Angeles in Boyle Heights. Due to his close proximity to gangs, violence and drugs, Vincent became a drug addict at the young age of 16, and for the greater part of his adolescent-to-adult life was addicted to hard drugs. After his run-ins with the law, he overcame his addiction, and focused his energies on documenting, in a series of memoirs, the incredible true stories he had lived.

His career in film and television began in the late 90’s working with 16mm film where he went on to produce and direct a Latin-based television series called “Accent L.A.” which focused on the life and subculture of Hispanics in Los Angeles.  After his tenor with the show, Vincent attended Film School at UC Santa Cruz where he followed in his idol, Quentin Tarantino’s footsteps.  At Santa Cruz, Vincent wrote, directed and produced the documentary “Gangster – Beyond the White Fence” focusing on one of the oldest and most notorious street gangs in Los Angeles: the “White Fence” gang.  A compelling doc that tells the tales of those who left the gang to lead productive and successful lives.

He also produced numerous commercials in conjunction with a school located in Watsonville, California, a highly gang-infested agricultural town, working with at risk local youth.  After graduating, Vincent went on to co-found a real estate investment management and brokerage firm that currently oversees over $1.1 Billion Dollars AUM.  In the last decade, Vincent has continued to write, direct and produce.  His film career includes films such as Short Pricks (Writer/Director), Naked Mind (Writer/Director), Service for Four (Cinematographer), Boyle Heights – 5 Episodes ( Co-Writer / Producer), and Destined (Producer), Hollywood Pozole - (Pre-Production), Bond (Feature - Pre-Production)
